Former LSU standout Ja’Marr Chase is one of the most talked-about wide receivers heading into the 2021 NFL Draft, but teams shouldn’t forget about his teammate, Terrace Marshall Jr.

On Friday’s “NFL Live,” ESPN’s Marcus Spears noted that Marshall was at one time expected to be LSU’s top pass-catcher over Chase and Justin Jefferson. Spears sees Marshall as a potential “steal” in the draft.

“It was thought that he would be the No. 1 guy before Justin Jefferson, who we saw go crazy in Minnesota and obviously Ja’Marr Chase being slotted ahead of him in this draft, but he is a big, physical wide receiver that can make plays (and) go up for the 50-50 balls,” Spears said. “I think somebody is gonna get a steal with Terrace Marshall Jr, and we’ll be talking about him as one of the better wide receivers as a rookie.”

Marshall opted out during the 2020 season, appearing in seven games and recording 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns. In his LSU career, he played in 32 games, logging 106 catches for 1,594 yards and 23 TDs.
