LSU’s offense is dynamic and puts up a lot of points. Plus, it’s led by a top Heisman Trophy candidate, quarterback Joe Burrow.

It’s going to be a difficult task for Georgia’s defense on Saturday when the two teams face off in the SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. LSU is 12-0 and has scored more than 40 points in 10 games this season. The Tigers have also scored at least 50 in each of their last three games.

On Friday, ESPN’s David Pollack spoke with the media and broke down what makes LSU’s offense such a challenge for opposing defenses.

“They do a really good job of knowing how to attack every level of a defense,” Pollack said. “I feel like offense, for a while, trended toward [the] Golden State [Warriors] — it was 3’s and dunks, it was gos and screens. They do a good job with their mid-range and attacking, but they do everything well. That’s why it’s hard to say, ‘OK, I want to take this away, I want to take this away.’ Like every time you do, they have an answer.

“I think Kirby, as brilliant as he is defensively, can come up with something to make a few plays.”

If Georgia can limit LSU’s offensive production, it may have a decent chance of upsetting the Tigers and winning the SEC title, which would likely put the Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff.

The Tigers and Bulldogs are set to kick off at 4 p.m. ET on CBS.
