Warning: If you challenge one of your favorite SEC players to a foot race on social media, he might just take you up on it.

LSU student Connor Deneau challenged Tigers safety Jamal Adams to a 40-yard dash race, and the outstanding LSU defender accepted it.

Here’s Deneau’s story, as he told it to the Reddit CFB community:

During spring practice, LSU has a student day where they let us come watch practice, tour the locker room, and come on the field for us to participate in drills. Jamal posted a picture to instagram on the day of the student practice asking students to come to the practice.

Jamal Adams has been my favorite football player at LSU in my four years of school here. I commented on his instagram asking him to race me in a 40-yard dash. He was down, and we actually did it.

I’m a large man as you can see in the video (save your comments for yourself) and I know that there was no way in hell I would ever actually beat him, but it was an awesome moment for me as a huge fan of his. I thought I would share this with y’all because I think it’s hilarious and it’s nice to see players being normal guys and being involved with students/fans.

And here’s a video of the big race, which took place after one of last week’s practices:

It’s awesome to see fans and players interacting and have a little bit of fun. Well done, guys.
