Former Clemson player trolls LSU in upset loss, former LSU player fires back
The trash talk between LSU and Clemson is still going on, over 8 months after the 2 teams met for a national championship.
LSU suffered an upset loss in its first game of the season, falling to Mississippi State 44-34 behind 5 passing touchdowns and an SEC-record 623 yards by K.J. Costello. Shortly after the loss, former Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons, now with the Arizona Cardinals, hopped on social media to poke a little fun.
“One hit wonder,” Simmons tweet read.
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson, who squared off against Simmons in last year’s CFP National Championship Game in New Orleans, had a short but effective response: “42-25”.
That, of course, was the final score of the game in January, which saw LSU win its first national championship since 2007.
Both men deleted their tweets, but as is the case all too often in the information age, screenshots live forever. And in this round, it’s tough not to give the win to Chaisson.
Here is the exchange that occurred on Saturday night, which has been deleted:
The Curse of Orgeron manifests itself in a myriad of ways.
Don’t use “a” before “myriad”. That’s like saying you have a several brainfarts.
You are upset about yesterday’s game. Try to focus on the topic rather than alerting everyone to your disposition.
But just to make fun of you and point out your confusion on your distraction, experts say that either way is fine. Myriad is used as a noun and an adjective.
Despite your fragile ego due to yesterday’s embarrassment, you are not more important than Garner, Merriam, Webster or Google Ngram.
So back to the point:
The Curse of Orgeron manifests itself in a myriad of ways.
It got us a troll. You do troll all the superior programs in the conference, Alabama, UGA, UF, and LSU. Auburn fans should feel insulted. We are happy to be a part of your immature jealousy. One day, you might even be proud of your own team.
“I think Mississippi State could throw it 20 times more than LSU and LSU could still end up with more yards passing because of the big play potential.”
The difference between what you think and reality is massive.
If you don’t want to be laughed at, maybe study more and post less. What are you, 15?
LOL
Just trying to razz you a bit.
We know you are a lonely troll here pretending to be someone you’re not. Your real life must be a mess.
LOL
Clemson Class as always – didn’t get it done with his PLAY so he uses his MOUTH! LSU probably lost more players than any team in the nation. I seem to remember a crappy SC team putting 535 on the Tiggers – Leach would probably have topped 700!
Simmons…they sure kicked your butts…so Quiet in the back of the class. Remember you played in the ACC(Always Cushy Conference).
