Sam Burns knows what it takes to win at the highest level of his sport. The PGA Tour golfer and former phenom for the LSU Tigers golf team was on Barstool Sports’ golf podcast this week and the LSU football team was a primary topic of discussion.

Even when he is on the course playing for his livelihood any given Saturday, if the LSU Tigers are playing football, Burns said he’s watching it.

Sometimes, as Burns explains to the “Fore Play Podcast,” he does so by taking his phone out on the course, inside of his yardage book.

Here is a clip of the Burns interview on Fore Play:

Burns, 25, turned professional in 2017. After winning on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2018 at the Savannah Golf Championship, he earned his PGA Tour card prior to the start of the 2019 season.

He is currently the FedEx Cup Standings leader early in the 2021-22 season and Burns is ranked No. 18 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
