Former LSU great Tyrann Mathieu donates $1 million to program
Former LSU player and current Arizona Cardinal Tyrann Mathieu came back home to Baton Rouge in order to deliver a very special gift.
An honorary captain for Saturday evening’s massive contest between LSU and Alabama, Mathieu joined the Tiger Athletic Foundation on the field and donated a $1 million check to the football program.
This exceptionally charitable donation will go towards improvement at the LSU Football Operations Center:

Mathieu starred in 2010-11 for the Tigers. Not only was he a consensus All-American in 2011, but Mathieu was also a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.
In 2012, then-head coach Les Miles dismissed Mathieu due to a violation of team rules.

While many would assume Mathieu would harbor some resentment towards LSU, his incredibly generous gesture suggests otherwise.
