Former LSU RB Leonard Fournette reportedly visiting with NFL team ahead of season openers
Former LSU running back Leonard Fournette is visiting with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 29-year-old Fournette began his NFL career with Jacksonville after being the 4th overall pick of the 2017 draft and won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay. But he played sparingly with Buffalo last season and is now looking for a new team with the season starting this weekend.

The Colts could be a good fit for the former consensus All-American and All-SEC star at LSU. Indianapolis has an All-Pro running back in Jonathan Taylor, but he’s missed a lot of time with injuries in consecutive seasons.
Meanwhile, backups Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson have combined for only 91 career carries in the NFL, and Sermon is coming off a hamstring injury.
The Colts reportedly met with former Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook on a free-agent visit, so they’re searching for depth at the position, and Fournette could be the answer. Cook signed with the Dallas Cowboys, so he’s off the board for Indianapolis.
Fournette reunited with his agents this summer in an effort to find a new team, ESPN previously reported, but Fournette has remained unsigned since being released by the Bills in January.
