Former LSU WR Jalen Brown is headed closer to home to continue his college football career.

Brown took to social media on Saturday to announce that he is transferring to Florida State.

A standout of Miami (Florida) Gulliver Prep, Brown was rated 4-stars and a top-70 Class of 2023 prospect by the 247Sports Composite. Brown picked up 34 scholarship offers, signing with LSU over Texas A&M, Michigan and others.

Brown saw limited playing time during his season at LSU. While he did not play against Florida State in Orlando, Brown made 3 appearances during the 2023 campaign. He did not record any offensive statistics in those 3 games.

Brown is able to take a redshirt for 2023, giving him four remaining seasons of eligibility. Mike Norvell’s use of the transfer portal has been a big part of FSU’s strong showings over the past two seasons. We’ll see if Brown is another portal success story for the Noles and benefits from a change of scenery.
