After spending the first four years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former LSU WR Russell Shepard spent the 2017 campaign with the Carolina Panthers.

In 15 games, he recorded 17 catches for 202 yards and a touchdown, but it appears he won’t be back with Carolina in 2018.

On Monday afternoon, Shepard posted a message on his Instagram page thanking the Panthers for the opportunity to play for them in 2017:

Shepard has gotten off to a slow start in his NFL career, recording only 47 catches for 634 yards and four touchdowns.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but he’ll have to be more productive if he wants to stick around in the NFL.
