Danny Etling is good for a few scrambles per game, and the LSU quarterback on Monday revealed that the running ability led to a nickname for him in high school. And as he moved to college, the nickname stuck.

Etling has collected 103 rushing yards this season, or 17 yards per game. Of course, the nickname is a nod to former Virginia Tech and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who played 13 seasons in the NFL.

Etling was 9-for-16 on Saturday in the win at Florida for 125 yards passing and a touchdown. He had a season-high nine carries for 26 yards.

LSU will play host to Auburn at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Saturday in a game to be televised on CBS.

Etling was 15-for-27 passing last season against Auburn for 118 yards and one touchdown in a game Auburn won 18-13. Etling also had a late scoring pass that was ruled to come after time expired.
