Harold Perkins was recently committed to Texas A&M, but then he backed off that pledge.

Now, the No. 8 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class has made his final decision between Florida, Texas A&M and LSU.

On Wednesday, during a National Signing Day ceremony, Perkins announced he was signing with LSU:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Perkins is the No. 2 linebacker in the class of 2022 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

The Tigers now have 15 players in their 2022 recruiting class. Prior to Perkins’ commitment, that class ranked No. 16 nationally and No. 7 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
