Things didn’t look good early for LSU at Missouri, as the Tigers from Columbia were up 22-7 in the second quarter. However, an interception by Harold Perkins helped change the game for LSU.
After kicking a field goal to cut the deficit to 12, Perkins intercepted Brady Cook, ending a streak of 366 consecutive passes without an interception, which was an SEC record.
The interception for Perkins was the first of the season, and second of his career.

Perkins has had a weird start to the season, as the Tigers are looking to play him in multiple different spots. Coach Brian Kelly talked earlier in the year about him becoming more of a true linebacker. On that interception, Perkins gave his coaches credit for putting him in the right spot.
“A lot of people in that situation expect me to come off the edge on certain downs,” Perkins said. “Coach did a good job of getting me in the right position at the right time.”
After that interception, LSU outscored Missouri 39-17 the rest of the way to pick up a potential season-saving victory.
At two losses, the Tigers still control their destiny in terms of making the SEC championship. LSU will be back in action at home, as they host Auburn next Saturday in Death Valley.
