The College Football Playoff now features 4 SEC teams in the top 10 as the release of the latest rankings. ESPN’s Heather Dinich can envision the conference making things mighty interesting for the committee.

The main culprit according to Dinich is 2-loss LSU, now ranked No. 7 in the CFP. LSU is coming off a victory against Alabama and also has wins over Ole Miss and Florida on its resume.

Dinich thinks if LSU wins out and captures the SEC title, that the Tigers could make history in the CFP era.

“LSU at No. 7 is the key to chaos in the College Football Playoff,” Dinich said via On3.com. “If they run the table and they win the SEC, I think the committee makes them the first two-loss team to make it into the College Football Playoff. If they were to beat Georgia and Alabama, I don’t think there’s any doubt.”

LSU’s victory against Alabama was its first at Tiger Stadium since 2010.

Next up for LSU is a road contest at Arkansas on Saturday (12 p.m. ET/ESPN). LSU leads the all-time series 42-23-2. Arkansas won last season’s meeting 16-13 in Baton Rouge.
