Without finding much luck at landing another college head coaching job, Les Miles is tossing his hat into a new arena — acting.
After appearing in two cameo film roles, Miles is now actively seeking an opportunity to act and putting in the work necessary to accomplish that goal. Ross Dellenger of The Advocate recently published a story detailing the lengths at which Miles is pursuing this new career.
“As a child, I wanted to be the president of the United States, wanted to be a head football coach and wanted to be an actor in a movie,” Miles said according to Dellenger. “We only get one go-around at this thing called life. There’s no do-overs.”
Miles is so serious, he even has an acting page on the Internet Movie Database Base, aka IMDB. Miles is currently credited with three projects, two of which have been completed (“When the Game Stands Tall” and “Camera Obscura”) and one in the post-production phase (“Angry Men”).
The former LSU coach is also reportedly working with former LSU baseball player-turned-actor Michael Papajohn to hone his acting chops. The two meet in Baton Rouge-based Celtic Studios to work on their skills.
While it may be a longshot, Miles is apparently very serious about working his way into the Hollywood scene.
