LSU’s defensive backfield landed a much-needed boost this week as Stanford graduate transfer defensive back Terrence Alexander has decided to come home.

The school officially announced Alexander’s addition Thursday morning.

The former Cardinal DB was also considering joining Tennessee’s program as a grad transfer. He will be eligible immediately upon his arrival to Baton Rouge. A native of New Orleans, Alexander appeared in 41 games for Stanford.

Alexander recently visited Baton Rouge after already visiting Knoxville to take in Jeremy Pruitt’s Rocky Top program. He should see plenty of playing time in Dave Aranda’s defense, as the Tigers desperately need help on the backend of the defense in 2018.
