LSU fans will have another former Tigers RB to root for in Jacksonville.
On Monday, the Jags announced they have signed Alfred Blue. Pro Football Talk reported Blue signed a one-year contract.
Blue gives the Jaguars a another option behind starter Leonard Fournette, as former Alabama RB TJ Yeldon is currently a free agent. Blue and Fournette never played at LSU together.
Blue most recently played for the Houston Texans, the team that drafted him in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He’s rushed for 2,407 yards and eight TDs during his five-year career. He’s also added 69 catches for 470 yards and two TDs through the air.
In four seasons, the Louisiana native rushed for just 1,253 yards with 11 TDs while at LSU. His best year came as a sophomore when he rushed for 539 yards and seven TDs.
