Jamal Adams won an awesome NFL Draft bet with his father
It’s not often that the son of an NFL player follows in his father’s footsteps. It’s even more unique when a highly-talented father has a son who surpasses him in that regard.
George Adams, a former running back at Kentucky, was selected by the New York Giants with the 19th-overall pick in the 1985 NFL Draft and went on to enjoy a six-year career in the pros. His son, Jamal Adams, made him a bet before this year’s draft.
Jamal Adams bet his dad $40,000 he would be drafted higher in the NFL Draft.

Widely considered one of the top prospects in this year’s draft, Adams seemed like a lock to be selected before No. 19, which probably made this a pretty easy bet for him to make.
The former LSU safety is in the league, and he can now focus on making a greater impact than his father ever did.
