Ja’Marr Chase responds to Madden NFL 23 slight; fans share outrage

Ja’Marr Chase had a breakout season last season for the Cincinnati Bengals, and the former LSU star has proven himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

But according to Madden NFL 23, he’s outside of the top 10. And that brought a reaction from Chase and several fans and media.

This came after Chase was named the 2021 NFL AP Offensive Rookie of the Year following a season in which he started every game, made 81 catches for 1,455 yards, which meant an average of 18 yards per catch, with 13 touchdowns. No rookie in the Super Bowl era has piled up more receiving yards, and the total was a franchise record, as well, breaking Chad Johnson’s mark of 1,440. Chase’s 266 yards in a Week 17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs were a single-game rookie record.

Chase simply said, “I’m going to keep working. Extra motivation.”

Fans, however, were outraged, and mentioned Randy Moss and Amari Cooper in their reactions.
