Jason Taylor knows what it takes to make it to the NFL, as he is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is 1 of the best defensive ends in NFL history, and is currently an assistant coach at the University of Miami.
His son, Mason, had a standout career during his time at LSU, and he is being looked as a legitimate NFL prospect at the tight end position.
“They are getting the complete package,” Taylor said. “He has done a really good job in the last year and a half of working on his blocking. Trying to understand angles, leverage and I saw the coach of the Giants talking with him here in the individual period. He is a natural route-runner. He catches the ball naturally and kind of just takes the ball out of the air. They are getting a very mature 20-year old guy. He is only 20 still. He is mature beyond his years. He is just about ball.”
Last season, he finished with 55 catches for 546 yards and 2 touchdowns. Taylor is looked at as a top 35-40 prospect, and figures to hear his name very early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
