Jay Bramblett, who had a solid season as LSU’s punter with an average of 44.51 yards per punt, has announced his plans for next season.
His best game came against Tennessee when he averaged 54 yards per punt, but he also averaged 51.50 in the Citrus Bowl win over Purdue.
“This year was the most fun I’ve ever had playing the game and I am excited to see the future of LSU football. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to come here, I’m not ready for it to be over so, see y’all back in Baton Rouge for 2023,” he wrote on social media.
Bramblett came to LSU from Notre Dame where he was a three-year starter for the Irish, and averaged 41.6 yards on 164 punts during his career at Notre Dame. He booted 28 punts of 50-yards or more with a long of 72 against Wisconsin in 2021.
