Jayden Daniels and the LSU offense are still trying to find their rhythm against Florida State, but the quarterback is likely just happy to still be in the game after one play.

On a 1st-and-10 play at the end of the first quarter, Daniels tried to carry the ball on a QB draw. The line collapsed a bit in front of him, and he made the dubious decision to try and hurdle the mass of bodies on the field.

Daniels cleared the line of scrimmage, but that was as far as he got. Tatum Bethune met Daniels on the jump, delivering a punishing blow before crashing Daniels back onto the field.

Needless to say, it’s a good thing Daniels was able to get up quickly after the hit, but he’ll undoubtedly be feeling this one tomorrow:

Daniels started the game 8-for-12 passing the ball, and the Tiger offense has been able to move the ball throughout the first half. Unfortunately, a pair of turnovers on downs from inside the red zone has limited LSU to 14 points as we approach the 6-minute mark of the second quarter.
