UPDATE: LSU has officially announced the hiring of Joe Brady.

Following Jerry Sullivan’s retirement at LSU, Ed Orgeron had a position to fill.

Per college football insider Bruce Feldman, Coach O has hired New Orleans Saints assistant Joe Brady to be the Tigers wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. Brady was a member of the Saints offensive staff for the last two seasons, and he’s worked closely with Drew Brees and offensive coordinator Peter Carmichael.

Prior to his stop in New Orleans, Brady was a graduate assistant at Penn State from 2015-16. His coaching career started at William and Mary where he worked with the linebackers in 2013-14.

Brady played wide receiver at William and Mary from 2009-12.

Following the hire of Brady, LSU has 10 assistants on staff. He’ll work with offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, running backs coach Tommie Robinson, current wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph and offensive line coach James Cregg.
