Joe Burrow continued his stellar young career with a performance that helped lead the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl, with a 27-24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

In a post-game interview with CBS Sports, Burrow was nearly speechless.

“Our defense was unbelievable in the second half,” Burrow said. “They had a great plan on the defensive side against us, and we struggled a little bit. … I’m just a little speechless right now. I don’t even know what to say.”

Burrow was asked about his thoughts of losing the coin flip to begin overtime.

“Usually when you lose the coin flip to those guys, you’re going home,” Burrow said. “But our defense really stepped up and made plays in the second half and on offense made plays when we had to. I thought the offensive line played really well all day, and we started running the ball there at the end, that’s exciting. Big win for us.”

On to the Super Bowl, how does it sound?

“Sounds great,” he said. “Sounds great.”

Burrow overall was 23-for-38 passing for 250 yards with 2 touchdowns and an interception, and was only sacked once.
