Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are not off to the best start.

In Week 1, the Bengals posted a dud in a 24-3 loss to Cleveland and Burrow had just 82 passing yards on the game. He played better on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, throwing for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the Bengals fell short 27-24.

Part of the reason for Burrow’s struggles could be a nagging calf injury that he has been managing to start the season.

“Whenever you have one of these things it’s always on going, it’s always something you’re managing,” Burrow said. “I don’t know how I’m going to feel the next couple days.”

He will be looking to make improvements to both his health and his game over the next week as the Bengals look to avoid an 0-3 start, and having Burrow at 100% would have a significant impact on the Bengals season.

“I’m doing everything I can to get healthy and get that thing the way I need to so I can go out and perform the way I need to to win.”

The Bengals will take on the Los Angeles Rams next week.
