The NFL Combine is only a couple of weeks away, and LSU QB Joe Burrow will be a popular player in Indianapolis.

Burrow won the 2019 Heisman Trophy and is being projected by almost everyone as the No. 1 overall pick to the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, the Bengals have been a mess in recent years, and there are rumors that Burrow could decide not to play for the team. According to Star-Telegram.com, Burrow was rather noncommittal when asked if he’d play for Cincy if the team drafted him:

“Look, this is a long process, right?” Burrow said. “They have their process that they have to go through, so I’m just blessed to be in the position that I’m in. If they select me, they select me. I’m going to do everything in my power to be the best football player that I can be.”

Told that didn’t sound like a “yes, I’ll be happy,” Burrow repeated: “It’s a long process the next couple of months. We have the Combine. We have the pro day. There’s a long time until the draft. There’s a lot of information, a lot of different places, a lot of people saying a lot of things, but I’m just focused on training right now.”

As Burrow says, there’s still a lot of work to do until the draft finally takes place. However, this will continue to be a storyline over the next few months if he doesn’t make a stronger statement.
