Joe Burrow and his path to the Super Bowl is not a surprise to those who have known him well over the years, from Athens, Ohio, to LSU.
LSU football put out a hype video about its former star quarterback now leading the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Sunday. The Tigers described it as “Untouchable. A swagger and confidence that cannot be matched. Joe Burrow takes center stage on #SuperBowl Sunday.”
Everything from TV commentators, to his high school coaches and are part of a video that includes highlights from his time at LSU, and with the Bengals.
“I thought he was this good when he was a sophomore in high school,” said Nathan White, who was Burrow’s high school offensive coordinator, and currently the head coach. “… I never wavered once. This is Joe, what he’s doing right now.”
Added John Rogers, a former assistant coach, “Nobody in this area is surprised that the production is there.”
It even noted how his high school football stadium was renamed in his honor.
