Joe Burrow has been on a meteoric rise going back to his 2019 season at LSU. After wrapping up his 3rd NFL season with another AFC Championship appearance, Burrow will be featured in an upcoming book.

The book will be titled “From Bulldog to Bengal: The Joe Burrow Story Through the Eyes of His Hometown” and is co-written by Sam Smathers and Scott Burson. Smathers has the distinction as Burrow’s first youth football coach.

Interested fans can begin pre-ordering the book directly from Orange Frazer Press. Here is a snippet from the description of the book:

Ultimately, this is a story about staying grounded. Burrow has made it to the top of the mountain by keeping his head out of the clouds and feet firmly planted in Southeastern Ohio soil. From shining a light on food insecurity during his Heisman speech to wearing clothing and cleats designed by hometown kids, Burrow has never forgotten his roots and those who have helped him along the way.

Burrow’s Journey to stardom

As a recruit, Burrow developed into a 4-star prospect for Athens High School in Ohio. After beginning his career at Ohio State, Burrow starred at LSU and led the Tigers to a 2019 national title while capturing the Heisman Trophy.

Burrow was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but saw his rookie season cut short by a serious knee injury. He captured the 2021 Comeback Player of the Year Award after leading the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance and led the Bengals back to the AFC Championship in 2022.

Though Burrow has missed out on a Super Bowl the past two seasons, Cincinnati always has a shot with him under center.
