Joel Klatt thinks LSU will make it back-to-back wins over Alabama for the first time in over a decade.

Klatt appeared on “The Next Round” on Monday. The FOX Sports broadcaster was asked to give his prediction for the SEC West showdown in Tuscaloosa between No. 8 Alabama and No. 13 LSU.

“I think LSU wins,” Klatt said. “I just don’t know if Bama has the offensive firepower to keep up. If you tell me that Bama can hold LSU to under 32 points, then Bama’s got a chance. I just don’t know if they can do that. Maybe they can.

“I think Bama’s going to score between 24 and 28 points,” Klatt added. “So, now it’s on the defense. … (LSU) is a better offense than Texas, let’s just put it that way.”

Just over a month ago, Klatt was confident in Alabama making the SEC Championship Game. If LSU pulls off the upset, 3 teams in the SEC West would have 1 conference loss (Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU).

“Y’all are down on Alabama. They’re going to be playing with 1 loss,” Klatt said on Sept. 26. “Mark my words. Alabama will win the West and play Georgia for the right to go to the Playoff this year.”

Alabama remains a 1-loss team, having defeated Tennessee 34-20 last time out. The Crimson Tide is favored by 3.5 points at home against the Tigers, according to DraftKings. Saturday’s showdown is set for 7:45 p.m. ET on CBS.
