John Emery matter 'not over yet' as family looks into legal options, per report
Earlier Monday, LSU running back John Emery was made academically ineligible for the rest of the 2021 season. The matter is”not over yet,” as the Tiger running back is reportedly looking into legal action.
Mike Scarborough of Tiger Bait shared that the family will seek legal means in order to get Emery reinstated with the school:
I’m told that the John Emery academic issue is not over yet and that the family is pursuing all legal options in order to get him eligible for the 2021 season.

Emery was reportedly ruled ineligible by the school because he registered in the wrong class. Emery, who was supposed to be the starting running back for the Tigers, ran for almost 400 yards last season with 3 touchdowns.
So far this season, Emery hasn’t played against UCLA or McNeese State. Head coach Ed Orgeron had described the situation as day-to-day.
