Justin Jefferson made a clutch touchdown grab late in the 1st half against Detroit on Sunday afternoon.

With just 36 seconds remaining in the half and with his team down 17-7, Jefferson fought through multiple Lions defensive backs to work his way back toward the ball. Jefferson then dove and caught the ball while ensuring he stayed in-bounds as well.

The touchdown put Minnesota within 3 points of Detroit just before the break. Here’s a replay:

Jefferson had a big first half for the Vikings, catching 4 passes for 85 yards and that incredible touchdown. He also helped the Vikings convert a 3rd and 19 earlier in this drive.

The former LSU star has missed several games to injury so far this season and has been relatively quiet since returning to the field a few weeks ago. He has a chance to clear 100 yards in a game for the first time since Sept. 24.

Minnesota entered the day in a fight for a wildcard berth in the NFC. The Vikings, who end the year with 3 consecutive games against divisional opponents, are also mathematically still alive for the NFC North title. However, they’d need to win on Sunday vs. Detroit in order to keep those hopes alive.
