Kwon Alexander delivered one of the biggest hits of the NFL preseason on Sunday with a bone-jarring hit on Antonio Williams as the New York Jets linebacker popped the football loose from the New York Giants’ running back.
The blow caused the crowd to let out an audible “oooooooh” as the ball went bouncing toward the sideline during the third preseason game. Alexander, the newest Jets linebacker, signed to a one-year deal at the end of July.
The play came on first down and 10 from the Giants’ 32 yard-line, and that’s when Williams met the 227-pound Alexander.
For those who have followed Alexander’s career, he has 10 regular-season forced fumbles over his 7 seasons in the NFL.
