After missing two games, LSU RB Leonard Fournette made sure his return was a game for the ages. The 284-yard performance wasn’t just a lengthy highlight reel, but also a new school record, breaking Alley Brousard’s single-game recording of 250 rushing yards in a game.

LSU SID Michael Bonnette shared an interesting tidbit on his Twitter account:

Broussard set the record in 2004 against Ole Miss, carrying the ball 26 times for 250 yards. Twelve years later, Fournette needed only eight carries against the Rebels to hit the 253-yard mark. He finished the night with 16 rushes for 284 yards.
