LSU running back Leonard Fournette won’t play in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in order to get healthy and prepare for the NFL Draft.

His decision has been met with both praise and criticism. While some fans are commending him for looking out for his own best interests, others are giving him a hard time for not seeing his Tigers career through to the end.

On the heels of Fournette opting out of his bowl game, Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey — another brilliant ball carrier with Round 1 aspirations — announced that he won’t participate in the Hyundai Sun Bowl with his Cardinal teammates. Like Fournette, he’s been beaten up in 2016 and can’t risk further injury.
