LSU held another fall scrimmage on Tuesday evening, but Heisman favorite Leonard Fournette, the Tigers’ talented running back, did not participate.
Fournette sprained his ankle earlier this fall and hasn’t been practicing or scrimmaging.
However, that should change soon, coach Les Miles said at Tuesday’s post-scrimmage press conference:
LM on update of Leonard's injury: He was running today and yesterday and is out of the boot. We expect him back to full practice soon.

Miles says Fournette should be practicing "next time we take the field" on Thursday. #LSU

Getting Fournette back at practice with a little over a week before the season opener against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field will be a big boost for LSU.
But, that said, the Tigers will need to take it easy on their star runner to keep him fresh for the game on Saturday, Sept. 3.
