LSU center Lloyd Cushenberry announces his plans for the 2020 season

It appears Wednesday is declaration day in Baton Rouge.

After Grant Delpit and Patrick Queen both announced they are leaving LSU early for the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tigers’ starting center Lloyd Cushenberry did the same.

Cushenberry leaves a big hole on LSU’s offensive line after starting at center in his final 27 appearances for the Tigers’ offensive line. Given the rare honor of LSU’s No. 18 jersey last season, Cushenberry wore a No. 18 patch on his jersey instead of actually wearing the number, the junior anchored an offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award last season — given annually to the nation’s best offensive line.

Cushenberry was also named a permanent team captain and was honored as an All-American by the AFCA and the FWAA this season.
