LOOK: CFB fans complain about SEC bias after 2-loss LSU team gets No. 7 spot in Playoff rankings
The second College Football Playoff rankings of the 2018 season were released on Tuesday night, and boy, were they wild for those who think the committee is biased toward the SEC.
We’re probably going to need someone to go check on Danny Kanell soon, as his head may have exploded when a two-loss LSU team was ahead of one-loss teams like Washington State, West Virginia and Ohio State and an undefeated UCF squad.
Kanell won’t be alone in claiming SEC bias this week, though, as Twitter was abuzz with people who didn’t understand how the Tigers were still No. 7 in the latest rankings.
As you can see below, there were a lot of unhappy football fans out there on social media on Tuesday night:
How many points did Alabama need to beat LSU by for LSU to fall farther than 7th?

Lmao LSU got waxed by Alabama and currently has two losses but is still ranked 7th. You’re a hack @NCAA @NCAAFootball

LSU ahead of three 1 loss teams is laughable pic.twitter.com/65AEUgpnA5

LSU staying above Ohio State after the Tigers were just shutout at home against Alabama for their second loss of the season tells you all you need to know about how the College Football Playoff committee feels about the Buckeyes and the SEC this season.

The fact that Florida is still in the top 15 after getting smoked at home by Mizzou and LSU laying a goose-egg at home and is still in the top 10 is why nobody likes or can trust the @CFBPlayoff rankings. #bias

LSU got shutout and lost by four touchdowns. And the Tigers are ranked ahead of three one-loss teams.
The #CFBPlayoff selection committee might as well hold these meetings in Birmingham.
LSU at No. 7 is a joke.

LSU at 7 is a load of crap. https://t.co/rbaP1iGgpb

Pretty wild that LSU gets shutout at home by 29 points and only drops four spots.

How can LSU get they tails cut by 29 at home and STILL BE OVERRATED?? Must be nice to be in SEC…

LSU scores less than 20 points to Florida and zero to Alabama AT home and is 7? pic.twitter.com/GjMKewDW1K

LSU got shutout AT HOME this week. They weren’t even competitive and they dropped 4 spots. Still 7th. Can you imagine if Michigan, Notre Dame, or Oklahoma lost 29-0 at home? Ridiculous.
