It’s been a great offseason for former LSU WR DJ Chark. As the 2018 NFL Draft finally gets underway on Thursday night, Chark has been one of the biggest risers on many teams’ draft boards.

Now, he’s being honored by his hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana, too, according to a post on Chark’s Twitter account.

As you can see in the picture below, Chark received a key to the city as he prepares to embark on his professional career:

Chark had 40 catches for 874 yards and three touchdowns this year — not great numbers, by any means. However, he tested really well at the NFL Combine and had a big day at the Senior Bowl.

There’s an outside chance he could move up into the first round of the draft, but while that’s unlikely, he’s sure to be a Day 2 selection should he still be on the board.
