LSU baseball is still basking in the glow of the national championship. The Tigers on Saturday unveiled their national championship rings after the College World Series win over Florida.
It’s interesting timing to say the least as the Tigers are getting set to play the Gators in football.
LSU won its first national title since 2009 with an 18-4 victory over Florida in the third and deciding game of the College World Series in late June.
LSU held off elimination 3 times in bracket play and bounced back from a humiliating 24-4 loss in Game 2 to claim its 7th championship, which is second all time to Southern California’s 12.

LSU used 3 key transfers to reach and triumph in Omaha. Paul Skenes was the first college pitcher in 12 years with 200 strikeouts. Tommy White hit 24 homers and drove in a nation-leading 105 runs. Thatcher Hurd was solid all season and matched his longest outing of the year in the title game.
