Former Illinois guard Adam Miller has made his decision.

Miller is transferring to LSU, he announced on Saturday evening.

As a freshman for the Illini, Miller averaged 8.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest. Despite his inexperience, he contributed heavily to an Illinois team that won the Big Ten Tournament and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

As a recruit, Miller was very highly-regarded. According to 247Sports Composite rankings,, he was the No. 33 overall player and the No. 6 shooting guard in the class of 2020.

Miller was a 4-star recruit and attended Morgan Park High School in Chicago.

The Tigers are coming off a second-round exit in the NCAA Tournament. They finished last season with a 19-10 record and went 11-6 in the SEC.

Will Wade signed another top-25 recruiting class this year, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. LSU is also bringing in at least two other transfers — Missouri’s Xavier Pinson and Cincinnati’s Tari Eason.

According to college basketball insider Jeff Goodman, he was picking from a group of finalists that included Kentucky, LSU, Georgia and Oklahoma.
