The LSU Tigers scored a major win on the recruiting trails on Sunday evening, picking up a commitment from 4-star LB Marcel Brooks out of Texas.

Brooks was also heavily considering Alabama, so coach Ed Orgeron pulled off a great victory by landing Brooks in Baton Rouge.

As you can see in the video below, Brooks got straight to the point, coming through the doors decked out in LSU gear:

Coach Ed Orgeron quickly welcomed Brooks to the LSU family with his usual celebratory tweet:

According to the 247Sports composite, Brooks is the No. 5 outside linebacker in the class of 2019 and the No. 14 overall recruit out of the state of Texas.

LSU now has nine players in its 2019 class, which currently ranks No. 7 in the SEC and No. 15 in the nation, per 247Sports.
