In the SEC, recruiting is king, and when you can beat out some of your biggest rivals, that makes it even better.

On Wednesday, LSU coach Ed Orgeron followed through with his statements about needing better athletes along the offensive and defensive lines, landing an elite 4-star offensive tackle out of Texas.

As you can see below, 4-star OT Courtland Ford chose the Tigers over Alabama, Georgia and others on Tuesday evening.

At 6-6 and 305 pounds, he’s exactly the kind of player Coach O and the Tigers are coveting, so this is a huge addition to the class.

According to the 247Sports composite, Ford is the No. 23 offensive tackle in the class of 2020 and the No. 22 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

The Tigers now have six players in their 2020 class, which currently ranks No. 5 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
