LSU made a significant addition in its 2025 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers earned a commitment from 4-star edge LaJesse Harrold. He chose LSU over multiple SEC foes, including Florida and Texas A&M.

Here’s his announcement:

Harrold is a huge pickup for LSU in this class. He’s currently ranked as the No. 120 overall player and the No. 12 edge in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 17 player from the state of Florida.

He attends Robinson High School in Tampa, Fla. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds.

Harrold initially picked up an offer from LSU back in January of this year. Florida, Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina and Auburn were amongst the programs who also offered him a scholarship during that time period. He took an official visit to Baton Rouge earlier this month.

LSU is now up to 13 commits in the class of 2025, including 4 on the defensive side of the ball. The Tigers revamped their defensive coaching staff after the 2023 season, which means this is the first high school recruiting cycle for several new defensive assistants working under Brian Kelly.

Overall, LSU’s 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 4 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Harrold’s junior season:
