An LSU defensive end is entering the transfer portal after 2 seasons with the program. 247Sports is reporting that Zavier Carter will evaluate his options.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Cartier amassed 5 tackles and a sack in 11 games this season. The Atlanta native appeared in 7 games during the 2021 season, his freshman campaign, including 4 tackles vs. Kansas State in the Texas Bowl.

Carter arrived at LSU as a 4-star outside linebacker and the nation’s No. 15 prospect at his position according to 247Sports. At Hapeville Charter, Carter tallied 74 total tackles, 57 solo tackles, and 7 sacks during his senior season.

Under new coach Brian Kelly, LSU finished this season with a 10-4 record after defeating Purdue 63-7 in the Citrus Bowl. This was a 4-game improvement from last season when LSU posted a 6-7 mark and fired national championship coach Ed Orgeron.
