LSU defense blasted on social media following rough 1st-half showing vs. Ole Miss

LSU had a great first half offensively against Ole Miss, but the Tigers defense is struggling, and for that LSU trails by 3 at the half.

LSU has 373 yards of total offense at the half and Jayden Daniels has connected on 2 touchdowns to Brian Thomas Jr. In most games, LSU would be happy with those numbers.

But LSU’s defense was giving Ole Miss anything it wanted in the first half.

The Rebels racked up 387 yards of total offense in the first half, and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxon Dart is having a field day with 242 yards and 3 touchdowns. Running back Quinshon Judkins already has 80 yards on the game and receiver Jordan Watkins has 103 yards and a touchdown.

Ole Miss’ 31 first half points were the most allowed by an LSU defense in a half since 1998.

Give Ole Miss’ offense some credit as it has been firing on all cylinders, but the Tigers’ defense was lackluster in the first half, to say the least.

Fans and media took to social media to express their frustrations with LSU’s poor defensive start.
