No. 5 LSU still has a bitter taste in its mouth after its last meeting with the No. 8 Florida State Seminoles. The last time the two teams played each other, it did not exactly go as the Tigers were hoping for as FSU pulled off a stunner at the end of the contest, 24-23.

The Tigers carried that sentiment into Saturday’s season-opener against FSU as the team led a “F— Florida State” chant ahead of the action in pregame warmups. Safety Major Burns played a big role in that.

Just as the last meeting between the Seminoles and the Tigers was, this one is also shaping up to be a close matchup. Both teams are tied at 7-7 in the Camping World Kickoff in Orlando, Florida heading into the second quarter.

If FSU is to lose this game, it will be the first time it has not come out victorious in the venue.

One of the biggest things to continue to watch throughout the matchup is the quarterback battle between potential Heisman Trophy candidates Jordan Travis (FSU QB) and Jayden Daniels (LSU QB). To this point, Daniels has completed 8-of-12 passes for 151 yards.

Travis has been good for 6-of-9 passes for 94 yards with 1 touchdown.
