LSU had a rough night on Saturday, falling 17-0 at the hands of Arkansas for its first shutout loss in nearly three years. Fans were decidedly unhappy with the performance, and many of them took to social media to direct hateful comments toward quarterback Anthony Jennings. The sophomore led the offense to just 123 total yards, completing 12-of-22 passes for 87 yards, also losing a fourth quarter fumble.
Despite the poor performance, many LSU fans stood up for Jennings, tweeting their support to him and telling the quarterback to ignore the vitriol he was on the receiving end of.
@JENNINGSWINNING keep your head up. Looking forward to seeing the team take Kyle Field and get a W. #FOREVERLSU
