One of the richest LSU football traditions is playing Saturday night home games, but the Tigers won’t be afforded that privilege when they host Florida on Nov. 19.

The SEC cross-division rivals will kick off at 12 p.m. CT, making it the first LSU home game to begin at noon in nearly three decades.

The Gators requested the rescheduled game in Baton Rouge not be played at night, according to The Advocate. Florida canceled the game on its original date, Oct. 8 in Gainesville, due to the impending threat of Hurricane Matthew, kick-starting messy negotiations and a war of words between the schools and their fans.

The two schools ultimately canceled their non-conference home games to play in Baton Rouge on Nov. 19, but it came at a price for the Tigers.
