LSU lands 2025 commitment from 4-star DB out of Tennessee
A blue-chip recruit out of Tennessee is heading to the bayou to play for DBU.
LSU landed a new commitment for its 2025 recruiting class on Thursday. CJ Jimcoily announced via social media that he has verbally pledged to play for Brian Kelly’s program.

Out of the Nashville (Tennessee) Lipscomb Academy, Jimcoily is listed as measuring 6-3, 205 pounds. He is rated 4-stars, the No. 9 player in the state of Tennessee, No. 32 safety and No. 348 prospect overall in the Class of 2025 on the 247Sports Composite.
Jimcoily drew national interest from coast to coast. He picked up scholarship offers from 40 programs during his recruitment. Arkansas, Cal, Florida, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State and Texas A&M are among the programs that showed interest.

For Jimcoily’s big announcement, it came down to a final four of LSU, Alabama, Tennessee and Stanford. Corey Raymond and company were able to beat out the other finalists.
