LSU is ahead of schedule on its rebuild under Brian Kelly. Yes, the Tigers stumbled at the end of the regular season, falling at Texas A&M on Saturday to finish with a 9-3 record.

But LSU still has a chance to reach 10 wins by either beating Georgia in the SEC Championship Game or winning a bowl matchup.

On Monday, the Tigers got some bad news on the recruiting trails, though, as 4-star 2023 edge rusher Joshua Mickens took to Twitter to reveal he was decommitting:

Mickens is a 4-star prospect from Indianapolis. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, he’s the No. 12 edge rusher in the 2023 class and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Indiana.

Where will Mickens end up next? That remains to be seen, but it appears it won’t be in Baton Rouge.
