After receiving 34 scholarship offers, one of the top wide receivers in the Lone Star State says he is down to 4 schools in his recruitment.

Marcus High School (Texas) standout J.Michael Sturdivant shared via Twitter this weekend that LSU, Cal, Oklahoma and UCLA are his final 4. He is listed at 6-2, 183 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 25 recruit in Texas, No. 27 wide receiver and No. 149 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite.

247Sports Midlands Recruiting Region Analyst Gabe Brooks evaluated Sturdivant in November, noting NFL potential:

Big-framed wideout with good height and frame length. Lean build but frame potential to eclipse 200-pound plateau. Produces big numbers against Texas 6A competition. Adequate tester with strong track profile. Competes in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump. Knows how to run to find open space. Height and frame help with encouraging high-pointing ability. Dangerous run-after-catch playmaker. Tracks the deep ball well. Long stride that builds speed downfield, but can improve initial burst off the line. Can also leverage DB’s better into breaks. High-major wideout with all-conference potential and an NFL Draft ceiling.

Sturdivant earned first-team all-district honors as a junior, his first season at Marcus after previously playing at Blue Valley Northwest in Kansas. Highlights from his junior season can be viewed below via Hudl:
